Grub Hub

How badly are your long term revenues affected by using a third party service like GrubHub?

The short answer is, "Much worse than you might think."

So, you signed your restaurant up for GrubHub.  And, maybe they are "only" taking 20% of your sale as a generous, introductory offer.

So, on a $100 sale, you are getting $80, right? Wrong.  According to our clients, they are paying the taxes on the $100, not the $80 net proceeds they receive.  Is that part of your calculation?

Also, that 20% commission will not last long.  Some of our clients - with delivery - are paying 40% of their sale, plus the taxes on the original sale amount.

What restaurant can sustain those numbers?

The answer is, they can't.

However, the reality is much, MUCH worse.

Have you read your Grub Hub agreement closely?

Grub Hub can put up dummy websites with YOUR RESTAURANT'S NAME in the domain to allegedly get YOU more business.  Except, guess what? They put THEIR contact phone numbers and THEIR website links on those sites.

What does that do?

It drives traffic AWAY from your website and directly towards THEIR double digit commissions.

Look around on the web and you will see that GrubHub - who owns Seamless - has registered nearly 30,000 web domains for their shadow websites.

Take, for instance, Molly Hatchet’s Sub Shop in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The real Molly Hatchet’s can be found at www.mollyhatchetssubshop.com.

GrubHub’s page, purchased in December of 2018, is available at the following address:

www.mollyhatchetssubshopdaytonabeach.com.

The REAL Molly Hatchet’s has its own online ordering system that has nothing to do with GrubHub. The GrubHub shadow page for Molly's shop displays a different phone number and links only to GrubHub.

Plus, GrubHub's financial resources and ownership of Seamless can allow THEIR page to outrank YOUR page in the search engines.  People will find the shadow page and order from there, rather than ordering from you directly.

And, guess what?  Your commissions help to finance GrubHub's ability to do this.  In fact, based on the wording in your contract, it looks like you may have agreed to it.  Ouch.

Are you feeling nauseous yet? Do you need some more cold, hard facts?

Let's face it, NO ONE is going to give service for your restaurant like you.  And, GrubHub's customer service and delivery personnel are...well.  Look at some of these reviews:
It's time to stop shooting yourself in the foot and get YOUR customers ordering directly from YOU.

We specialize in getting people to move away from ordering on GrubHub, Postmates and Doordash and ordering directly from YOUR restaurant on YOUR website.

Not only can we direct people to your website for their individual meals, but even more importantly, we can help increase the big ticket orders: catering.  If you do NOT have catering options, how many 10's and 10's and 10's of thousands of dollars per year in sales are you missing out on? Let's change that right now.

I know. It sounds too good to be true. But, it isn't. It's a great opportunity for you. However, it requires you to make a decision before it's too late. Every sale on GrubHub, DoorDash and Postmastes is another customer for them and not for your restaurant.

So, kindly pick up the phone and call us to arrange a phone, virtual or face to face meeting.

Or, fill out the brief form at the link below; and, we will contact you back promptly.

We are looking forward to getting these shackles off of your business and helping to restore your long term, financial prosperity.
